Looking into hiring a marquee for the first time, it can seem daunting task. Working everyday with marquee structures, we have teh experience needed to guide you towards the most suitable solution.
A Marquee provides limitless options and configurations to get the right fit for your event, here are some things to consider for hiring a marquee, to get the best value and most suitable tent for your event.
Availability
We hire marquee structures year round across Scotland. The summer months of April to October are the busiest for us so booking early for summer events is best.
Delaying booking your hire until within the busy months, even months out, could leave you disappointed with reduced availability and equipment.
Marquee size
The correct size of marquee will balance your requirements with your restrictions.
Things to consider with choosing your size of marquee are how large is the size available to you ? .
Will you need a catering marquee space or a toilet trailer as these will require more space.
Once we know what the plan is we can get a CAD layout over to you to help plan and give you an idea of space needed and the marquee size.

Marquee layout / Plan
As marquees are a blank canvas there are many possibilities for what the interior may look like and space required.
Round tables, rectangular tables and theatre seating require diffrent amounts of space. You must also consider if you want a dance area, staging, catering, bar area and comfortable seating as these will add size the necessary marquee.
You do not want guests to be budging past each other or feel like being in an empty hall, its important to get this correct.

Ground Conditions / Surrounding area
Our clearspan marquees are modern structures that can go almost anywhere. There are a few factors that can change the spec & price of the marquee hire.
Ground condition, can the marquee be secured with stakes or will there need to be a ballot option if there is hardstanding or underground pipes.
Is there anything above the marquee, telephone wire or branches as these limit the useable space.
How level is the ground? Is the ground level, undulating or heavily sloped? This may effect the flooring options available to place the marquee on and the end price.
If you need help finding a suitable space, we have worked throughout Glasgow, central Scotland & Edinburgh at different venues and in both fields. We can let you know of places close to you and suitable for the size of event you may be planning.

Marquee Toilets & Power
Marquees are sometimes in areas away from power or facilities. Power points from a house may be sufficient but will be quickly become inadequate after powering 0 like heating or basic lighting.
You will have to consider what items require power such as catering, lighting and DJ’s among others. Having a back up generator is always a wise move as to not be left in the dark.
Toilets, often forgotten about are also a necessity to keep guests comfortable. We have a range of sizes available for events up-to 150 Guests.
Marquee Flooring
Marquee Flooring is arguably the most important item after the marquee itself, without it you may have lob sided tables, wonky and unsafe chairs.
Diffrent types of floorings are necessary depending on ground conditions. If the marquee space is level then a direct lay Pine wooden flooring is suitable. However the ground isn't so even then a steel subfloor may be necessary.
